Why playing in the toilet is awesome

By the B Squared (Baby Boy)

Age 2

Well - first off - the toilet itself is AWESOME

A. it's forbidden
B. it has working parts and gadgets like this great flusher and a lid that if you use all of your super human toddler strength you can maybe get off
C. it is filled with water!!!!! I mean - really how great can one thing be?

THEN you get caught playing in it and three awesome things happen...

1. Your Mom makes this great gasping choking sound of horror. Don't be afraid first timers - it might be a little scary at first but it is so funny to see her thrown so far off her game - the reaction itself is well worth the crime.

2. Then while she is freaking out going to find something called disinfectant and something else called a plunger - you get to stand at a stool at the sink and play with - wait for it - more water! Only this stuff is warm and soapy - so great.

3. Finally you get stripped out of your clothes (something about germs and poop and stomach virus's - I am not sure) and you get to run around having some nekky time because by now your sisters have dismantled Mommy's sewing machine and she has run out of time to finish dealing with you.

All in all - an experience I highly recommend.

Yours Truly

The B Squared

I think he and Little L were thinking alike because she did the same thing yesterday.
Too funny :)

Oh, that's funny. For some reason, I got lucky that my son was never interested in playing in the toilet.

Holy Moley! How ever do you keep up? Very witty post. I know kids are wonderful, but I don't think I could cope with all that!

That's great! It totally puts my 10 month old playing in the toliet into perspective. Thanks for the laugh!

LOL!!!
The girls dismantling the sewing machine at the end really did it for me!! I have had my sewing machine messed with so many times it is only by the grace of God that it works!!

LOL! Hysterical!

I am lucky that my 3 year old has never shown much interest in the toilet! Now, if I can just get her to quit eating her boogers...

Happy SITS Day!

LOL!!! This is a great post. Do you think if I gave them cups and "toilet" toys the forbidden wonder would be gone?

Oh, that's hilarious. Life with toddlers - how I don't miss it. LOL

MrsM said...

What is it about little boys and the potty? When Monkey was 3 he actually DRANK toilet water. Like got a cup and scooped himself some. Of course it was blue and "looked like juicey" so it was all my fault...

Poison control got a big kick out of me when I asked if I should scrape his tongue.

Mimi said...

OMG, thanks for the early morning laugh!

Enjoy your SITS day!

I feel the need to grab some hand sanitizer!

This has yet to happen in our family, but I'm waiting. It's inevitable!

Anonymous said...

My two year old is all about the toliet.

I have to keep the bathroom door closed at all times.

Very funny.

Too funny! I know if things get too quiet my little one can probably be found stuffing paper in the toilet... And then having to play with the warm soapy water is such a punishment! Great post!

Cyn said...

Does your little man know MY little man?

Your life sounds like mine. Have to go, now. My nine-year-old is climbing over me to get to the two-year-old hiding behind my chair...

Happy sits! :) Great blog!

For some reason, the mountain of toys is never enough. The toilet (and every other nasty thing in the house) is so much more fun. Yuck.

Jennifer Juniper said...

I went through those stages with my boys and I'm so glad they are behind me. My kids were more likely to rip off their diaper (when they were about 1) and play in the poopie...I think I made the same sound and went through the same routine! happy sits!

That was hilarious! I lucked out...the Princess Nagger didn't have a penchant for playing in the toilets...although she did enjoy emptying an entire roll of toilet paper in it and flushing it until it overflowed...good times. ;)

Happy SITS Day! :)
