Why I love road trips - New England edition

A. I have time to blog ;)

B. I get to hold Husband's hand - a lot.

C. I get to listen to a lot of music I never have time to listen to.

D. Husband just said to me "well, we have been driving for an hour and a half and we have been in three states. We are not in Texas anymore."

E. The packing - I love filling the car up with whatever we want. If it fits - it can come. I also love the fun bags of stuff for kids to do. I really love that my 11 year old just said to me "Mom, I want to do my homework now please" and all I did was hand her back a clipboard, her work, and a freshly sharpened pencil.

F. This might not type out right but I love that it just the five of us in our little capsule and we have not interacted with another soul. No one has asked me for a ticket or looked through my stuff.

Just our little tribe and the friendly open road ahead....

Road trips serve as bonding time for me and my girlfriend, though she sometime sleeps on me in the middle of the drive. We rent cars whenever we go on a trip because it’s cheap. However, we take no chance for our safety, so I extensively check the car I’m renting to see if it’s in perfect shape. So far, my meticulousness has paid off and we have never experienced any trouble on the road.
