So - as I have gone through this week - I keep having thoughts pop in my head
"that would be good to blog about"
"I need to remember to type that"

I have started typing in the notes section on my phone whenever the kids say something funny. I am really loving this new system because it helps me remember funny moments and I think that I got some good ones this week!
4 year old son - coming out of the airplane bathroom with big eyes and wonder in his voice....
"There is a tiny bathroom in there Mom. It's like a port-a-potty but it's got a sink!!!!!"
One of the girls in the back of the van while driving around Massachusetts.....
"Hey look - we are in the neck of the woods!!!!!"
My 6 year old talking about a friend of ours who came from Texas to run the Boston marathon.....
"So Mommy - did Coach Matt run all the way from Texas to Boston for the marathon?"
4 year old and 6 year old in the way back of the car playing while big sister practiced soccer...
"Hey Zoe - I am pretty sure we are stuck back here."
Zoe: "Oh well - at least we have chips"

So I am typing on my phone so no fun fonts or spacing tonight folks.
It's ok - I don't mind pausing while you get over your disappointment.
Anyway
Here is what I have learned since being in MA
* I really love having my family back together again - total total total plus
* I have pretty good kids who are handling this very well
* I am going to be lost - all the time
* You know how they say how stinking charming New England is? Guess what - it is so stinking charming. I have used that word more in the last 24 hours than I did all last year. I have now resorted to exclamations of
"how charming is that?"
"could that get any more charming?"
"uh hello - charming!"
You think I joke - but I seriously keep saying that. My kids think I am trying to hammer home a new vocabulary word and I am
pretty sure my husband thinks I
have just lost my mind.
* Speaking of him - husband - I really do love him. He makes me laugh so hard - I mean - church giggle, stomach hurting, belly laugh, kind of hard. I am a fan of that husband - pure and simple - a big fan.
* No one has been mean to me yet and as far as I can tell - no one has made fun of my strange, backward, Texas ways.
* I am really looking forward to getting all of my stuff back tomorrow although we have already figured out at least 3 pieces of Texas sized furniture that are not going to fit in my Massachusetts sized house.
* It is time for me to sleep!
More tomorrow as the adventure continues!!!!!!!

Dragging two reluctant kids out of the house on a weekend with no Daddy in town to go watch a soccer game for your oldest who has been to a sleepover while fielding phone calls from movers and packers.......
Awesome
Pulling into the driveway of the soccer complex 45 minutes later and having your 6 year old puke cinnamon rolls ALL over the back seat of your car......
More Awesome
Completely busting your rear end to get clothes sorted for three kids to live out of a suitcase for 2 weeks in two VERY different states with two VERY different weather forecasts.....
Awesome
Movers packing your big suitcase and burying it so thoroughly that there is no way that they will ever be able to get it again......
More Awesome
Cleaning as fast as you can behind the movers as they finish loading each room, scrubbing toilets and baseboards until your fingers are raw.....
Awesome
Having one of the movers go spend a solid 20 minutes in one of your very clean bathrooms and take a dump that is so smelly it would make your great uncle earl proud......
More Awesome
The chaos of moving day. Boxes, people, movers, everywhere......
Awesome
A fire alarm that won't go off screaming into your brain until your husband finally has to call the fire department, only to have the fire department show up in full force so that they can take the battery out of a smoke alarm that is under a pile of bags on your kitchen counter.....
So much More Awesome
Finally having my family back together and all of my belongings loaded and headed across country.
A really big fat awesome relief!
