How did this happen?

Where did the time go?
Those 9 candles seemed so hot and bright!
When did she get so big?

Last night when she kissed me goodnight she said,

"You know what Mom - this is the last night that I will ever go to sleep as an eight year old."

I said,

"That's right baby girl, enjoy your last sleep of eight."

She said,

"I can't wait to be 9."

I swallowed the lump in my throat and went on my way.

I feel the time passing.

It really is going too fast.

Oh my gosh, is that a picture of you?! In fact- TWO pictures?

Happy 9th birthday to your daughter. I have a 9 year old too. *sigh* It's just too old.

Good Morning from a wintry UK.I don't quite know how I found your blog but I pressed something and here I am.
Unfortuanately the time passes way too quickly...I waved my son off this year as he left home. It still only seems a blink ago he was nine. You still have many years to enjoy though.
Please feel free to drop by my blog and maybe follow if you want.
Warmest wishes
